Lexan sight glass is a transparent food grade polycarbonate resin with excellent temperature characteristics from -20 to 140° Celsius. Lexan sight glass is clear as glass and has high impact resistance, but is not completely scratch-proof. Lexan glass can be machined with traditional sawing, drilling, and milling tools and can be bent at room temperature with localized heating. It is useful for medical devices that require steam-sterilization because of its stability at higher temperatures.
